Following university guidelines, the BookStores has cancelled all events held at our locations until after the restrictions have been lifted. We have also cancelled business-related travel and are working to meet with vendors, partners, etc. via Zoom to limit face-to-face interactions.
We want to ensure you that the sanitation of all BookStores locations, offices, and distribution centers are at high-priority. We are augmenting our normal cleaning procedures at our facilities by increasing how often we clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, such as door handles, tables, keypads, and counters. Hand sanitizers are available throughout the stores. We have also educated all team members on best practices recommended by the CDC.
Mask Distribution: The University of Arizona will provide two face coverings at no cost to students, staff, and faculty that will be on Campus this fall, additionally students will also receive a thermometer. Please click here for more information.
The Dean of Students Office will be providing up to date information regarding academics and student well-being. For courses beginning March 18, 2020, students can purchase in-store or online. Though we usually send orders the same day, orders may take an additional 3-4 business days to ship due to the state's stay-at-home order. Please factor in a few extra days than usual to receive your order.
With our transition to online learning this week, some students will lose access to course materials that they previously shared with classmates or instructors, or accessed via the library. To support these students, we’ve partnered with our digital course materials provider, VitalSource, and leading publishers, to launch VitalSource Helps, a program that provides access to ebooks to all students through May 24th. Students may begin accessing these materials, using their university email address (NetID@email.arizona.edu), today at bookshelf.vitalsource.com for free.
Required digital content through the Inclusive Access program is available through D2L. For courses beginning March 18, if students don’t wish to purchase required materials, they must opt-out by March 24, 2020.
